Recently, a bunch of people mentioned I should try out a Chromag hardtail.
You’re probably familiar with Chromag by now, but if you’re not, they’re a bike and component company out of Whistler, B.C. that first got their bones in 2003. They quickly became known for making straightforward, durable hardtails with an unconventional aesthetic.
Flash forward 17 years, they’ve become a popular, ever-growing brand still best known for their stylish, no-nonsense frames and components that can hold up to a beating. They’re also one of the most popular brands for saddles.
Given that the makers of Chromag bikes help build some of the world’s best and most challenging mountain bike trails up in Whistler, I knew these bikes had to be able to handle that kind of aggressive riding well and it’s made me always want try one out, so… I bought one!
I did make some changes to suit the kind of riding I’m doing around here in Bellingham, but overall, I’m very impressed with the Chromag!
